Meet Mikayla
Prinicipal Consulant, Freelance Consultant, Full-Spectrum Doula, and Instructor
Hello Everyone!! My name is Mikayla Pitts, and I'm originally from Bakersfield, California. I got recruited to play basketball at Little Bighorn College on the Crow Reservation. I fell in love with Montana and decided this would be my forever home. After my time at Little Bighorn College, I transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman, where I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Community Health.

I decided to become a consultant in the summer of 2024, after watching a webinar from a Public Health Professional. She was so inspiring and encouraging. She told the attendees that anyone could be a consultant. I knew I had the experience from working in public health, policy, and advocacy work. I decided then I just needed to take a leap of faith.

Helping Hands Consulting comes from the legacy my parents started in 2005. Helping Hands Youth Facility created a safe & loving environment for at-risk girls in several counties in California. In Fall 2024, I lost my Momma. My Momma put her heart and soul into Helping Hands, now I carry on the legacy she started. My parents believed that we should always lend a helping hand.
